It wasn’t that long ago that I didn’t have a single art supply or had even taken an art class as an adult. Now I feel I own half of Michaels art supplies and have taken close to 100 different classes over the last 5 years.
So I decided to make a short list of art classes for those of you who may be like me that didn’t know where to start and just wanted to begin.
Classes that have helped me in my creativity journey, and in no particular order;
Laura Horn - have a fun, loose approach with paint and color

Sktchy- has a variety of 30 day challenges that are perfect to brush up on portraits. Great for learning water color/drawing techniques.

Jeanne Oliver- her site has a collaboration of artists that include mixed media, with a vintage theme.
Kara Bullock- has a site as well with multiple teachers and classes. I’ve taken many oil and mixed media classes from here. Modern and vintage styles available.

This is also a great idea for those who have a loved one that has been saying they want to be more creative… why not buy them a class for their birthday or just because? Or why not try it out for yourself?
Let me know down below if you have taken any of these classes or suggest one that is not listed! Sharing is caring 🫶
