Art, for me, has always been more than decoration — it’s a story, a transformation, and a mirror of the soul. My work is rooted in resilience and the beauty of becoming. I grew up on a Nebraska farm, moved overseas when my dad joined the military, and later became a military spouse myself. Those experiences — along with my love for travel and history — shaped how I see the world: full of fragments, memory, and meaning.

In my mixed media, collage, and oil paintings, I love layering vintage papers, symbols, and painterly marks to create pieces that speak of identity, freedom, and hope. My art often ties back to my family, my faith, the places I’ve traveled, and the figures that inspire me. There’s always a mix of delicacy and strength, because I believe even in brokenness, beauty can emerge.

I went back to school later in life, proving to myself (and others) that dreams don’t expire — and in 2025, I proudly graduated with my BFA in Fine Art. Now I’m stepping into my MFA journey, continuing to grow and create work that reflects not only my story but also the resilience and legacy of others.
