The piece that started it all.
This is the very first Plein Air painting I did in the summer of 2023.
An original plein air painting completed in my study abroad program in Florence, Italy.
I was captivated by Italy and wanted to create work that was inspired by what I experienced. I can still remember the first time I looked out over the field and took it all in. This piece carries that first glance.
We were staring down at this gorgeous Tuscany landscape from the famous town, San Gimignano.
