Rise Above
Only 1 in stock
Inspired by the great works and sculpture of Edgar Degas and the strength in the film Leap, I created this piece as a reflection on the battle within. The ballerina stands tall, while a younger version of herself looks on with quiet disapproval—a visual metaphor for the inner critic we all face.
I incorporated Degas’ sculpture as a nod to the classical roots of dance and art, while exploring what it means to rise above self-doubt in a modern context. As an artist, I often compare myself to athletes—because like them, we train, we fall, and we rise again.
This piece is about choosing growth, strength, and grace over fear.
